But for those who are wondering...

If you have been a victim of cyberbullying, you are aware of how the bullies carry out their attacks.

Cyberbullies act by using an indirect type of bullying. Most of these bullies have the same "goal" - to destroy the target's relationships or social status. The effects of this cruel behavior can be psychologically devastating.

The bullies use:

text messages

picture texts

online messages

emails

fake profiles

Basically, any form of electronic media.

Someone you trust - your parent/guardian, a teacher, church leader. 

Get an adult involved 

A main concern with cyberbullying is psychological instability. Like traditional bullying, cyberbullying can cause those affected to have suicidal thoughts and depression, among many other devastating effects.

Be sure to stay focused and involved in the hobbies and activities you enjoy. Find positive ways to deal with the stress. That way, it has less of a chance of

overcoming you.

Please do not blame yourself. Being the target of a cyberbully can make you feel like your flawed.

Be proud of who you are.

Cyberbullying can take place at virtually any time, day or night. Victims of cyberbullying often feel as if they have no way to escape the high-tech torture they face.

Consider "unplugging" from technology for a while. Simply taking a break from the phone or internet can help you meet new people and make friends.

Don't avoid talking to an adult because you are afraid of losing your phone or internet privileges.

Being the victim of any kind of abuse (physical, emotional, etc.) is never easy. But remember, your bully is an unhappy person.

Don't give them the satifaction of making you unhappy too.
